Theory classes are held at our main base in Costa Adeje, on the south coast of Tenerife. For sea practice we sail out of Marina del Sur in Las Galletas.
Dates for group courses are set several months ahead. You can also ask for dates arranged around you.
The certificate is issued by ISSA and recognised internationally. It never expires.
This is the schedule we run most often. The course is shore-based, which means every day starts on land. Sessions run from Sunday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:30, with a lunch break at 14:00. The first two days are spent in the classroom, going through slides and sailing theory. After that the course continues on the boat: first getting to know her systems and equipment, then out to open water for sea practice. The exact schedule can shift with the size and the experience of the group, and some sessions may be run together with students working towards other levels.
You can also take this course as a Course + Cruise package. Accommodation aboard our sailing yacht is available for the duration of the course, and with some extra theory and practice you can add the Inshore Power Yacht Skipper certificate for motorboats for €600 alongside this course — on its own that course costs €1,080.
Lessons are taught in the classroom at our main base.
